The Salted Egg

It had been time that the duck eggs are having unpleasant odor and fishy. This is feel very obviously when we compare to the eggs of leg horn chicken or Gallus gallus domesticus variant. Although the egg has been cooked, but its smell can't be lost.

To reduced and even to omitted that bad smell, people have a trick to change it become the salted egg (Indonesia : Telur asin).

And how to make it?
It is very easy and simple, we do not need the complicated foodstuff or ingredient. But, it's need more patience until it can be consumed.

First we prepare the crushed brick which is mixed with ash and the sufficient water. Don't forget to added the salt a pretty much. Covered the egg with that mixture. We need about 2 weeks until the salt can be absorbed. Then we just boil it, and "Telur asin" can be serving.
